Frequently Asked Questions

Is Manual Lymph Drainage painful? No, it is a very light skin movement that gently pushes fluid along the lymphatic pathways. Post-surgically, there is often hardened tissue that needs to be softened with deeper pressure but it is never done in a painful manner.

Where does the lymph fluid go? The body processes the fluid through the lymph nodes then on to the circulatory system where it eventually is filtered and excreted by the kidneys and bladder.

Do you accept/file insurance payments? No, I do not file insurance claims. I can provide you with an invoice to file with your insurance company yourself. I do accept Health Savings Account payments.

Do you use any instruments or ultra sound during the treatment? No, each session is done completely manually.

How long is a typical session? Most sessions can be completed in 60 minutes unless there are a lot of areas that need to be addressed. I speak with each client before making appointments and make a suggestion about how long each session should be based on what the client tells me.

Do you take walk-ins? No, I see clients by appointment only.
